FORT MYERS, Fla., - A fired Walmart employee caught on camera causing a scene at a Lee County Walmart spoke exclusively with 4 In Your Corner Thursday about what fueled her rage.

Witnesses say the woman refused to leave the Colonial store in Fort Myers after she was fired late Tuesday night. A video captured by a customer shows her marching through the store cursing as other employees try to escort her out.

The woman, who goes by the name Terica, says she was a Walmart employee for 2 months and claims she was unfairly let go.

“I felt really disrespected. I felt out of place. I felt like they were antagonizing me,” she said.

That’s when she became frustrated.

“I was seeing red,” Terica said. “When I first saw the video, It kind of was embarrassing for me cause I’ve never really acted like that.”

Terica says the reason she acted out inside the store was because she felt disrespected by a coworker.

“She was literally telling me what to do. Like go here, do this, do that. It was really horrible. My third week there, I told them I know I’m new here and I shouldn't be having problems with anyone but I don’t like how she’s treating me when she’s talking to me.”

She claims that conflict was never addressed by her bosses.

“They told me to just get over it because their priority was to make sure the front end of the store was situated and that the customers felt welcome.”

Customers shopping Tuesday got a unique welcome.

“It was pretty crazy,” said one witness.

“I’ve never seen an employee freak out that way,” said Austin Sawyer, who caught the incident on video.

“I would definitely like to apologize to anyone who felt threatened, or felt offended because of my actions,” Terica said.

“I do think that I could have handled it in a better way. I love my job. I did my job no problem, no hesitation. I just feel like they could’ve handled it a different way.”

She disagrees with how Walmart handled the situation.

“I feel like they could have came and talked to me. We could have gotten to the bottom of it and I could have kept my job.”

Terica tells 4 In Your Corner she was not arrested that night and won’t be facing any charges, although she has been trespassed from the store. A Walmart spokesperson declined to comment on her claims.
