The family of missing Diana Alvares has hired a new private investigator to assist in her disappearance, the Global Investigative Group reports.

Diana Alvares,10, of San Carlos Park went missing May 29, 2016 from her Sheltering Pines home.

The only suspect in her disappearance is 29-year-old Jorge Guerrero-Torres who was convicted of possessing child pornography. Guerrero admitted to having images of Diana on his phone but denied having any involvement in her disappearance.

Walter Zalisko, a retired police chief and internationally recognized investigator has recently been hired to assist this case.

“Our goal is to determine what happened to Diana. Our ultimate goal is to bring her home.” Mr. Zalisko indicated.

So far law enforcement efforts in locating Diana have come up short.

“While police investigative tactics are generally restricted by constitutional requirements, private investigators are private citizens who can generally utilize all legal investigative methods available to them,” Zalisko said
