To close out this week’s "Faces of Fox 4," Wyvonne Jones is a photographer, usually working with reporter Kathryn Marsh in the morning. She’s been calling Southwest Florida home for the past three years, after leaving her native Kansas for the job, and to escape the cold winters.

When she’s not working, she drives 45 minutes, three times a week, to Title Boxing in Naples. She says, “It helps me get rid of stress. That’s what I love about it." If you take a class, get ready to work up a sweat! She says, "I always tell people, the class is like boot camp with boxing.”

Wyvonne played competitive basketball as a teenager. The sport gave her lessons she’s taken off the court. She says, “Basketball just taught me my work ethic. If it wasn’t for my high school coach constantly pushing me, honestly I wouldn’t know how to push myself. I don’t just halfway do something. I want to give my all and everything that I do.” The small forward had some good nicknames. “Oh yeah! My coach used to call me the “slasher” or the “silent ninja.” He also called me the “spark plug,” stuff like that.” She may have been aggressive on the court, but she says the sport also helped her work under pressure. She says, “I don’t have time to be like, “Oh my G-d I can’t believe it’s not working. I just focus and work around it and you know it’s going to get done. It’s going to get there one way or another. It’s going to get there.”

She compares her role in the field to a partnership. She says, "I like seeing things. When my reporter is like, “This is what we’re going to shoot,” I automatically start thinking of things like, “This is how I think this should go and how it should work and then I get their ideas. I like seeing my ideas and their ideas and combining it and seeing the final product and it usually turns out really good."

Wyvonne is also involved with Title Gym’s philanthropic efforts supporting the Parkinson Association of Southwest Florida. Click here to purchase tickets to “Bags, Bingo and BBQ,” on September 20th. If you're interested in trying out a first class at Title Boxing, it's free for first time visitors.
