Early voting begins in Fort Myers and Cape Coral

LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Polls are opening up for early voting Thursday for primary elections in Fort Myers and Cape Coral.

If you live within the city limits of Cape Coral, you'll be able to vote for the mayor and district offices One and Four.  Seven candidates are running for mayor. 

If you live within the city limits of Fort Myers, three candidates are running for mayor.  And if you live within wards Three and Five are you eligible to vote for a council member in your assigned ward.

The final day for early voting will be Saturday, September 30th.

Voting locations in Fort Myers are:

  • Fort Myers Regional Library, 2450 First Street
  • Dunbar-Jupiter Hammon Public Library, 3095 Blount Street
  • Housing Authority of the City of Fort Myers, 4224 Renaissance Preserve Way
  • Fort Myers Fire Station No. 5, 9700 Treeline Avenue

In Cape Coral, locations are:

  • Lee County Public Library, 921 SW 39th Terrace
  • Lee County Elections Branch Office, 1039 SE 9th Avenue

Polls are open from 10 AM until 6 PM.
