COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- Deputies are investigating a drive-by shooting at a Golden Gate home early Friday morning.
It happened shortly after 1 a.m. at a home on 23rd Place SW.
According to a Collier County Sheriff's Office incident report, residents in the home say they were sleeping when they heard what sounded like gunshots outside the home, and found two windows with small gunshot holes.
They say while they were inspecting the house, a vehicle with loud exhaust drove by and opened fire on them. While running into the home one resident was struck by something on the top of the shoulder.
The victim refused treatment at the scene.
A total of three holes were found in glass on the front of the home.
