Deputies in Charlotte County responded to the scene of a double stabbing Tuesday.
They were working an investigation on the 21000 block of Gibralter Drive. They say they got to the scene around 4:18 p.m. Tuesday.
Deputies say both the male victim and the male suspect suffered stab wounds and were transported to the hospital.
Neighbors say a man broke into another man's home. They say when he tried to get away, he saw the man who lives there and stabbed him.
Neighbors say the victim was able to get a hold of the knife, and stab the intruder.
Deputies have not confirmed this, but say an investigation is ongoing.
