LEE COUNTY, Fla. — A visual montage thanking healthcare workers at Lee Memorial lit up the front of the building Friday night. The message thanking nurses, doctors, and all crews on the front line at the hospital. It read, "Local heroes work here #leestrong." Organizers hope to do the same at Cape Coral Hospital and possibly Health Park Medical Center.
Also, the owner of ABC Pest Control was outside Lee Memorial with a banner reading, "You are our heroes" hanging from a ladder truck Friday morning. The owner, Nick Libretto is a retired firefighter. He's been visiting hospitals to show his appreciation for those on the front lines, something he says is a family affair. He says one of his daughters' workers in Southwest Florida at Healthpark.
