SANIBEL, Fla.-- Visitors flock to the JD "Ding" Darling Wildlife Refuge to take in its breathtaking nature. But those visitors also have a world-class option for when nature calls.
The wildlife refuge on Sanibel Island is the winner of the 2018 "America's Best Restroom" contest.
Cintas Corporation held the contest. Judging criteria included cleanliness, visual appeal, innovation, functionality and unique design elements. The refuge will get $2,500 in Cintas products and services for restroom cleaning.
The Ding Darling bathroom has paintings, animal sculptures, and facts about area wildlife.
