Could Facebook help cath a killer? Homicide investigators in Collier County are hoping it might in the cold case of Larimar Webbe, 21, who was shot to death in the summer of 2016 in Golden Gate Estates.

His body was found in the driveway of a home on Golden Gate Boulevard, near Big Cypress Elementary School.

"It's the holidays, and there's a family without their son," said Detective Thomas Cullen of the Collier County Sheriff's Office. "There hasn't been anything that's come in for a while, which is kind of why we wanted to bring this case to the forefront."

Cullen said that surveillance video shows Webbe at the elementary school the night of his death. But points out that there are lapses in the timeline leading up to Webbe's murder - and who he was with when he was killed.

"We're hoping that somebody can come forward to corroborate some of the information we've already received," Cullen said.

The Sheriff's Office is asking people to share a post on Facebook, showing a photo of Webbe with the text: "Larimar Webbe was found dead July 31, 2016...if you have any information about this case, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477.) You could be eligible for a cash reward of $1,000."
