BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. — Corporal Hunter, who is part of the Bonita Springs Community Policing Unit, organized a food drive called “Cereal and PB&J” to ensure families have extra food during the break.
Cpl. Hunter did this when he realized some families would struggle during spring break according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the Sheriff's Office, schools will not be providing breakfast and lunch during spring break, due to COVID-19 relief.
So, Cpl. Hunter decided to hold his own food drive to collect food for these families.
All of the food collected was used to stock the Bonita Springs Assistance Office.
