GOLDEN GATE, Fla. — Junior St. Clair still can't believe it happened.

His family and their home- even their cars - came under gunfire before dawn on the day before Christmas.

Junior tells us his mom barely survived.

He said she and his father were sleeping when the gunfire started.

One of the bullets flew right into the bedroom - piercing the their headboard and passing within about an inch of his mother's head.

Junior says his sister heard the getaway rev its engine and screech away moments later.

Miraculously, she says she slept through it!

He says after the shooting, he and his other family members checked on each to other to see if each other was OK. And they were.

Junior says he doesn't know why anyone would shoot at his home which had several family members inside for the holiday.

He tells us he's been wondering if someone mistook his car for someone else's vehicle and targeted the wrong property.

The Collier Sheriff's Office is looking for who's behind the shooting.

The office confirms it received a call of the gunshots being fired around 4 a.m. Friday in the area of 50th Street Southwest.

If you know anything, you call Crime Stoppers at (800) 780-TIPS or text using the P3 Tips app.
