CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- Police are searching for the person responsible for breaking into and robbing the Boathouse Tiki Bar and Grill in Cape Coral.
According to an incident report, an unknown suspect broke into the restaurant between 4 A.M. and 5 A.M. Monday. An employee that day discovered the office floor in disarray and saw a hole in the drywall of the office. He then noticed an open hole on the side of the safe in the management office.
Upon reviewing surveillance video, the thief was seen using a tool to create the hole in the safe. They got away with around $7,000.
