LEHIGH ACRES, FLA — The Lee County Sheriff's office is investigating reports of a shooting at a Lehigh Acres car wash Friday.

The incident happened near the intersection of Ruth avenue and Lee boulevard.

It's a sight that has some scratching their heads, but none more than Joe Belardinelli, who says it's his second run in with a scene like this in about as many days.

"I live right down in the area where the one was the other night. I got trapped until 1:30 a.M. Before they let us in," said Belardinelli.

The other scene he's talking about, was a deadly shooting that happened Wednesday afternoon, at the corner Beth Stacey and Woodward boulevards, just a few miles away.

"They committed this act in such a reckless and violent manner endangering the lives of innocent people in the area," said Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno.

Two men, Ricky Ruiz and Victor Colon Jr., have been arrested and charged with second degree murder in connection to that case.

The pair was identified, after someone caught the shooting on their dash cam while driving through that intersection.

That driver may have been in the right place at the right time, but a local Radio Shack owner we spoke to says the fact they even had a dash cam in the first place isn't surprising.

She says they've seen an increase in those camera purchases, due to hit-and-runs and other dangers out on the road.

"This morning every single person has been visiting asking for one. We're down only to one in the location only has like four left," said Maria Coates.
