LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. -- Several Lehigh Acres church members participated in a march to show their faith on Good Friday.
The event started at 6 P.M. Members from 12 different churches carried several crosses a mile and a half to Veterans Park, where the Salvation Army provided food and a band offered music and prayer. Local Pastors said the event has been carried out on and off for the last ten years.
Anywhere between 50 and 100 people took part in the cross-walk. "The walk for me personally meant that the community is coming together. That we can get organized like this and and see that there is more than just individualities, but that we're one. That we're unified," said one participant.
