COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — Collier County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a silver 2016 Hyundai Sonata for a traffic violation in the 90-mile marker of I-75.
During the stop, deputies made contact with a passenger in the vehicle who did not identify him. They attempted to use U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement paperwork to identify himself as Enildo Juariga-Rivas.
Deputies then determined the passenger’s true identity to be Yoel Viera-Batte, 41, of Miami.
They also found out that there were two warrants for his arrest out of Dallas County, Texas.
Deputies arrested Viera-Batte on the separate warrants charging him with fugitive from justice/sexual assault on a child and fugitive from justice/possession of a controlled substance.
Viera-Batte was booked into the Collier County jail, where he is awaiting extradition to Texas.
