COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.-- A volunteer with the Conservancy of Southwest Florida adopted this duckling, which was found stranded near the loading dock behind the Naples jail center.

Collier deputies were able to pick up the baby bird and put it into a padded box to search for its mom. After searching the area, deputies were not able to find the mother duck.

Since the duckling was so young, it could not be released back into the wild. Deputies took it to the Conservancy of Southwest Florida, and that volunteer named it Oliver.
