City of Marco Island seeks volunteers to serve on Marco Island Audit Committee and Collier County Coastal Advisory Committee

MARCO ISLAND, Fla. — The City of Marco Island needs volunteers to serve on the Marco Island Audit Committee and the Collier County Coastal Advisory Committee.

Volunteers will be chosen by members of the City Council at April 19, 2021, City Council meeting.

Selection by the City’s Audit Committee will be based upon the applicant’s knowledge, skills, experience, involvement in community affairs, leadership, and desire to serve the community.

The committee meets quarterly at 9:00 am in the Marco Island Community Meeting Room.

There are five appointments available and applicants must be Marco Island residents.

Selection for the Collier County Coastal Advisory Committee will be based upon the applicant’s familiarity with coastal processes, inlet dynamics, coastal management programs, or demonstrated interest in such programs, relevant education and experience, leadership, and involvement in community affairs.

The committee is composed of three members from Marco Island, three members from unincorporated Collier County, and three members from the City of Naples.

The committee meets at 1:00 pm on the second Thursday of the month at the Collier County Government Center.

There is one appointment available and applicants must be Marco Island residents.
