Christman wins Naples city council special election

NAPLES, Fla. – The City of Naples has a new city council member.

Ray Christman was declared the winner in Tuesday's special election with 50.8% of the vote.

This election came after councilwoman Linda Penniman resigned in January.

Christman will serve the remainder of Penniman's term, ending on February 1st, 2022.

Bill Moss earned 33.94% of the votes, Ted Blankenship got 9.95%, and George Dondanville got 5.3% of the votes.

A total of 4,424 ballots were cast, for a turnout of 28.63%.
