A Fort Myers woman trusted to provide in-home care for a 93 year-old WWII veteran is accused of defrauding the elderly man.

"I fought two wars: I was in WWII, in Germany and in France," said the victim, who asked not to be identified.

The 93 year-old, two time veteran, spends most of his time at home. He relies on an oxygen tank and his caretaker Christine Chabot to get through day-to-day activities.

According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, Shneo Brice is accused of using four credit cards belonging to the victim at Publix grocery stores around Fort Myers and Cape Coral.

An arrest report states a detective reviewed surveillance video from the stores which allegedly depicted Brice.

"I had to have [credit cards] lying on the table and she must've swiped them and I didn't know it," said the victim.

"Shame on you, shame!" said Chabot as she broke down in tears. She told Four In Your Corner she referred Brice to the victim.

According to detectives, close to $5,000 worth of charges were made on the credit cards.

"I had no idea until the statements started coming in," said Chabot.
