“We examined each city based on 31 key indicators of happiness, ranging from the depression rate to the income-growth rate to average leisure time spent per day.” According to WalletHub.

The top ten included Hawaii which was number one, followed by Utah, Minnesota, New Jersey, Maryland, California, North Dakota, Iowa, Idaho, and Connecticut.

To determine the happiest cities in America, WalletHub says they compared 182 of the largest cities including the 150 most populated U.S. cities, plus at least two of the most populated cities in each state across three key dimensions: 1) Emotional & Physical Well-Being, 2) Income & Employment and 3) Community & Environment.
