Officers quickly identified the vehicle and subsequently the driver.
It was determined that she is a former resident of the home, and the package was actually hers.
Police verified the purchase through receipts and other means.
This case will be closed and the coincidental circumstances documented.

The Cape Coral Police Department is seeking tips for a “porch pirate” style theft that occurred in the afternoon of Dec 15, around 12:45 pm.
Doorbell and home surveillance video captured on the 4600 block of SW 7 Ave., shows a woman taking a package from near the victim’s front door very shortly after its delivery. The package contained a coffee machine valued at approximately $600.
