CAPE CORAL, Fla. — The Cape Coral Police Department says they have received funding from the National Association of VOCA Assistance Administrators through a grant.

The grant comes from the Office for Victims of Crime, within the Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Justice, to promote community awareness of crime victims’ rights and services during the 2021 National Crime Victims’ Rights Week.

Funds will be used to sponsor an event at the Cape Coral Rotary Park on April 18th at 2 pm.

The event will feature a victim resource fair, bilingual services, children’s building project, and butterfly release as part of a Community Awareness Project in Cape Coral.
