CAPE CORAL, Fla. — The Cape Coral Police Department was conducting a death investigation in the early morning hours on Thursday.
Cape Police say one of their officers was conducting a traffic stop at Del Prado Blvd and Savona Parkway when another vehicle pulled up behind the patrol car.
The driver of the second vehicle approached the Officer. The driver told the Officer his girlfriend was sick.
The Officer checked on the driver’s girlfriend and found her in the vehicle deceased.
A Major Crimes Detective and a Forensic Specialist responded to the scene to investigate.
The Medical Examiner will be conducting an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
The investigation is ongoing.
