SANIBEL, Fla. — FWC is investigating the death of a man who was found in the water near his boat off Woodring Road on Sanibel Island.
At approximately 3 p.m., a bystander found the boat by a dock and noticed the man nearby in the water. The good Samaritan pulled him out and began CPR, according to FWC.
Emergency responders arrived to administer aid to the injured man, but he was eventually pronounced dead at the scene.
FWC did not release the man's identity. They believe he was the only one on the boat.
