LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Fire officials are working to figure out what caused a house fire in San Carlos Park.

It happened in the 18600 block of Cedar Drive East just before 10 a.m. Thursday.

Crews arrived to find smoke coming from the roof of the home. Fire fighters found heavy smoke throughout the first two floors before finding an active fire in the attic, which was quickly extinguished.

Thankfully, no one was home at the time and no one was injured.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
