Applications from area non-profits for tenancy in the Family Services Center Phase II now open

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — The Charlotte County Human Services Department and the Community Action Agency Advisory Board are currently accepting applications from area non-profits for tenancy in the Family Services Center Phase II.

The Family Service Center offers different services and programs for Charlotte County Residents all under one roof.

The Board and the Human Services Department are looking for agencies with a current IRS designation as a 501(c)(3) with a defined mission of offering health and/or human services to Charlotte County residents or other critical supporting functions.

Applicant agencies must illustrate how the community will be improved by the organization's participation in the Family Services Center and how an integrated services model benefits their program and the overall mission of the organization.

Applications will be reviewed and scored by members of the Community Action Agency Advisory Board.

Recommendations for tenancy will be submitted to the Charlotte County Commission for final approval.

Applications are due by no later than 5 p.m., March 31, 2021.

An information session will be held at 3 p.m., Feb. 16, 2021, at East Port Environmental Campus, Training Rooms A, and B, 25550 Harborview Road, Port Charlotte, FL 33983. Interested applicants are encouraged to attend.
