COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- Southbound Alligator Alley reopened overnight after a rollover crash closed it for hours.

It happened just a few miles past the Naples toll booth, near mile marker 98, around 9:30 Monday night.

Florida Highway Patrol says 26-year-old Mercedez Vadi of Miami was driving a pickup truck towing a mobile home when she lost control of the vehicle, causing both the truck and the trailer to overturn. The vehicles slid along the guardrail before coming to a stop blocking both southbound lanes.

Vadi was uninjured, but will be charged with careless driving and no proof of insurance.

All traffic had to be routed off at Collier Boulevard for about three and half hours while crews cleaned up the scene. Alligator Alley re-opened around 1:00 a.m. Tuesday.
