LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Tuesday's the cutoff day for filing your taxes, but that’s just your federal taxes.  According to the Tax Foundation, here's how Florida stacks up to other states when it comes to different state taxes.

9th in gasoline taxes, paying four cents per gallon

4th in tolls and user fees at 67.8%

7th in cell phone taxes at 14.7%

29th in property tax at $1,184 in collections per capita.

Post offices throughout Southwest Florida were filled with taxpayers Tuesday, looking to pay before the deadline. “Had a large tax bill, so waited till the end. Pay your taxes, stay current with the government and they won't be looking over your shoulder or you don't have to look over yours,” said one patron.

In Florida, if you work every day, it would take you until April 20th to complete your tax obligations.
