4 arrested after deputies find fentanyl and meth in home

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — Four people have been arrested following a search by deputies with the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office.

Over $53,000 worth of fentanyl and meth were seized from the residence located on 2369 Starlite Lane Thursday. In addition to finding fetanyl and meth, deputies also found illegal narcotics, prescription medication and two handguns that were in possession of a convicted felon and a large amount of cash, the sheriff's office said.

"The tremendously deadly amounts of Fentanyl and Meth found yesterday had the potential to do irrevocable damage to our community. This drug bust potentially saved the lives of many," said Sheriff Bill Prummell.

The sheriff's office says bond was set at $1,370,000 for one of the individuals arrested.
