CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — A 16-year-old male is in critical condition after an ATV accident, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
FHP said the male was driving a Polaris Sportsman ATV southbound on Huffmaster Road, approaching a left turn. During the turn, the ATV ran off the roadway and struck a utility pole.
Deputies said the crash was not alcohol related, and the driver was not wearing a helmet.
FHP is investigating the incident.
