Gasoline prices continue to plunge

Tracking prices at the pump, gas prices appear to be heading in the right direction, thanks to record-low oil prices.

Right now, crude oil is trading at about $29 a barrel. And as a result, the national gas price average is ringing in at a $1.89; that's 17 cents cheaper compared to a year ago.

Meanwhile, drivers across Florida are paying about $1.91 on average, while Southwest Florida drivers are paying about $1.87 on average.  Although some stations in Cape Coral selling for as low as $1.74.
