Hundreds lined up on First Street in Downtown Fort Myers for the annual Edison Festival of Light Junior Parade Sunday.

The annual parade showcases decorated floats, high school bands, Girl Scout troops, local law enforcement agencies and elected officials.

While kids and adults of all ages showed up to watch the show, many say to them it's more than just a parade.  “Like a tradition that's been handed down. My mom brought me here with my sisters when we were little, and then I brought my kids down and now I'm doing it with my grandkids," said resident Dorothy Blake.

This year more than 100 groups participated.  Several spectators said it's been exciting to watch how much it's grown over the years.
