Less than an hour before Sunday's service at a Fort Myers church, they discovered their guitars were stolen.  Here's how they were able to thwart a second attempt.

Members at Redeemer Church were already heartbroken over the weekend robbery.  But Monday, one of the pastors had a feeling he left something in his office.

When he went back to what he thought was an empty church, he discovered he wasn't alone.

The first incident was discovered Sunday.  "It happened like an hour before our worship service so we kind of scrambled to get something in place," says Sam Killman, the Minster of Music at Redeemer Church.

Thieves ran off with two guitars, along with their cases and other accessories. All adding up to a hefty price tag:  $2,300.

But this church almost fell victim to another round of crime Monday.

Killman went for his forgotten computer to what he thought was an empty church.  "As I was making my way up the stairs to my office, I heard voices coming out of this room."

He adds, ""I saw three teenage boys coming down off the stage and they were holding stuff in their hands and say 'Hey! What's going on?'"

The boys were holding a wireless router, rubbing alcohol, and Goldfish snacks. As Sam approached the stage, they took off.

The pastor says he wants the thieves to know, they are forgiven.  "None of us are perfect we all make mistakes and so we want to extend grace and compassion where we can," says Pastor Randy Alston.
