I’m thrilled to be here at Fox4 News and in Southwest Florida after spending more than three decades as a radio & TV reporter and anchor in NYC. I’m especially happy that I don’t have to cover any more blizzards!
I decided at the age of 10 to become a news person. I studied journalism in college and then jumped into the business right out of college.
I worked at a couple of small radio stations in New Jersey before heading over to WNBC Radio to do the news on the Imus and Soupy Sales radio shows. I also worked alongside Howard Stern. After stops at WCBS Radio and the NBC Radio Network I moved into TV news covering all sorts of events including the 9/11 attack on the Word Trade Center.
Many residents of Southwest Florida will recognize me from my days as the morning anchor at News 12 NJ and later as a reporter and anchor at WWOR-TV in NYC. I’ve even written a book about all the funny behind the scenes stories from my years in radio and TV. It’s titled ‘It Shocked Even Us! And More Crazy Stories Covering Local News’.
Like every one of my colleagues at FOX4 I take the job of bringing you the news very seriously. Every day we strive to do so in a fair and accurate manner. I am proud to be among such a talented group of news journalists.
As for hobbies – right now I am just enjoying the wonderful sights of Southwest Florida with my Bride of 24 years and, of course, the sunshine!
