LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Florida Lottery officials say a Fort Myers woman matched all five white balls in a Powerball drawing last year, earning her a $2 million prize.

60-year-old Kathy Kern of Fort Myers purchased her winning ticket at a Circle K store on Tamiami Trail in San Carlos Park.

The drawing was held October 20, 2018. Kern matched the five white balls and purchased the Power Play option to earn the $2 million prize. Had she also matched the red Powerball, she would have won the $470 million jackpot for that week.

The store where she bought the ticket will receive a $5,000 bonus commission for selling it.

The next Powerball drawing will be held Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET with an estimated $96 million jackpot. It can be watched on Fox 4 in Southwest Florida.
