Collier deputies: 'Altercation' leads to stabbing in Golden Gate

NAPLES, Fla. — According to Collier County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to the area of Golden Gate in reference to a stabbing.

Deputies reportedly responded to the scene around 5:30 PM Wednesday at the location of 47th Terrace Southwest 28th Avenue.

According to the report, once deputies arrived, the victim's shirt and shorts had bloodstains. The victim
stabbed was renting a room at the home at the location and one of the other renters had a friend over who is the suspect in the stabbing.

According to the report two males got into an argument and had to be separated. The victim said that he walked away and while he was leaving, he noticed the suspect was holding a baseball bat in one hand and a knife in the other. The suspect then allegedly threw the kitchen knife at the right side of his face.

The suspect reportedly attacked the victim and they both fell to the ground.

According to the report, while both were on the ground, the victim took out his pocket knife to get the suspect off of him.

Once the suspect began bleeding he reportedly walked away. The suspect was sent to Lee Memorial Hospital.

According to the CCSO, none of the men want to press charges
