FEMA opening mobile disaster recovery center in Fort Myers

FORT MYERS, Fla. --- FEMA will open a mobile disaster recovery center Thursday in Fort Myers. 

Recovery stations will be outside of the Fort Myers Dream Center located at 3637 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, just east of Veronica Shoemaker Boulevard.

Hours of operation will be from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m and will only be open on Thursday.

The FEMA registration process requires registrants to provide a social security number, contact information, financial information, banking account numbers, and insurance policy information.

Survivors with phone or internet access are encouraged to register before visiting the MDRC by visiting www.DisasterAssistance.gov or by calling the FEMA Helpline at 800-621-3362 between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.  

Pre-registration is not required before visiting an MDRC.

Additional MDRCs may be announced in the near future.
