MONDAY:

The southeasterly wind flow continues to dominate as we start the new work week, keeping conditions dry in the morning hours with showers and storms developing in the afternoon favoring the coast. Storm coverage is a bit more isolated this afternoon, with a lot of sunshine in the morning hours. Storms will begin to develop inland after 2pm before moving westward toward the coastline this evening. Temperatures are hot and conditions humid with highs landing in the low to mid 90s.

MONDAY NIGHT:

Storms will quiet a few hours after sunset tonight with overnight lows dropping into the mid 70s. Skies will start to clear out overnight with conditions starting sunny once again tomorrow morning.

TUESDAY & TUESDAY NIGHT:

Our general weather pattern remains unchanged with winds from the southeast, bringing clear conditions in the morning with showers and storms developing in the afternoon. Coverage is still isolated on Tuesday with storms starting inland before moving toward out coastline. Temperatures begin to back off slightly, with highs landing near the seasonal average in the low 90s.

REST OF THE WEEK:

Rain chances pump back up as we head into the middle of the week with coverage growing to 50-60%. Thunderstorm activity is likely in the afternoon and evening hours with pockets of heavy rain, frequent lightning, and potentially damaging gusty winds. Each morning will start with a mix of sun and clouds before storms develop, and overnight conditions will be generally calm and quiet. Temperatures stay near the seasonal average in the low 90s with humidity putting our heat index values 100-105º.

TROPICAL OUTLOOK:

The National Hurricane Center has given a tropical wave southeast of the Cabo Verde Islands a 20% chance of tropical development over the next 5 days as it continues to produce disorganized showers and thunderstorms. Slow development is possible over the next few days, but conditions aren't favorable for continued development as this area tracks northwest over the eastern Atlantic mid-week.
