Season two of StartUp, Crackle’s 10-episode, one-hour original drama, picks up on the streets of Miami following the takeover of GenCoin, an unregulated global cryptocurrency. With their startup now in the hands of the Russian Mob, our unlikely trio, Izzy Morales, Ronald Dacey, and Nick Talman, reinvest in their partnership and launch an exciting new endeavor, a darknet prototype called ArakNet. But as their decentralized network begins to grow, so too does the peril, the corruption, and the moral turpitude. As our heroes attempt to stay alive long enough to triumph, the sophomore season of StartUp poses the all-important question, what is the cost of ambition, and reveals the frightening lengths one might go to achieve ultimate success. The series also stars Martin Freeman (Fargo, Sherlock).

Award-winning actor, Ron Perlman, has moved seamlessly between the worlds of film, television, and theater for four decades. Most recently, Perlman had an historic six-year run playing the explosive Clay Morrow in Kurt Sutter’s gritty drama, Sons of Anarchy for FX. This was immediately followed by a critically acclaimed performance as the not-so-honorable Judge Pernell Harris in the Amazon series Hand of God. He has collaborated with director Guillermo Del Toro on many occasions. Their first film together, Cronos, won the Critics Award at Cannes and projected Del Toro into film history. They next did Blade II, which established Del Toro’s box office success and allowed him to launch the Hellboy franchise, which found Perlman in the title role. They continue their collaboration to this day, with Pacific Rim franchise and The Book of Life.

Adam Brody has crafted a distinguished career in film and television and is quickly becoming one of the finest newcomers to hit the big screen. He’ll always be remembered for his role as Seth Cohen on the popular television series The O.C.. He starred in director Kevin Smith’s Yoga Hosers. Brody also starred in CHiPS, alongside Michael Peña and the film’s writer/director, Dax Shepard. Most recently, he is starring in the movie Big Bear opposite Pablo Schreiber, and will soon begin filming the thriller, The Wanting.
