It's FCAT testing time, and the pressure is on for students across the state.

The two week testing could keep your child from moving on to the next grade. But there are ways to prepare.

Education specialist Lee Carbonelli shared some tips this morning on Fox 4 Rising.

"Don't try to cram anything. They've prepared all year, they know what they know. Stay calm. If parents are nervous, kids pick up on that and they bring it into the testing situation." Lee Carbonelli said.

This year's FCAT is a little different than past tests.

Reading sections are tougher and parts of the high school test will be online. Starting next year, Florida teacher pay will also be determined by the FCAT and other standardized test scores.
