ESTERO, Fla. -- Deputies say a man accused of masturbating in the women's room of a hotel is on the run after an incident near the Coconut Point Mall last week.
According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, the female victim told investigators that she was using the public pool at the Hyatt Place hotel on Via Villagio Parkway last Friday when she decided to use the restroom.
She entered the women's room and noticed that the handicapped stall was locked, so she used the next stall. As she sat down she wondered if the other stall was out of order and peered under the stall wall. That's when she saw a man lying on the floor of the stall, masturbating and looking back at her.
The victim screamed and ran into the hallway. The suspect also ran out of the bathroom and fled from the building.
The suspect was described as a white male in his 30's, wearing a gray shirt and dark shorts.
