SOUTHWEST FLORIDA -- The remains of two three-year-old Florida panthers are now headed to Gainesville for necropsies after their remains were found from separate vehicle collisions in Lee and Collier counties this week.

One was discovered in Lee County on Interstate 75 near mile marker 138, the Luckett Road exit, in Fort Myers.

The other was found in Collier County, along Immokalee Road a few miles east of Collier Boulevard in Naples.

These deaths mark the 13th and 14th statewide. All but three of those panthers have died in Lee and Collier counties.
