Arrest made in South Fort Myers shooting
FORT MYERS-There has been an arrest made in connection to the Friday night homicide in the Harlem Heights Community that left one woman dead.
Mobley Madison, 84, of Fort Myers was arrested over the weekend for the murder of Alexandria Goodman, 26.
The investigation revealed that the suspect accused the victim of stealing his wallet containing an undisclosed amount of cash. She denied taking it, so he retrieved a handgun and demanded his property back. The victim continued to deny taking any property to which he discharged the firearm.
Goodman died at the scene.
One person has died and another taken into custody after a shooting in South Fort Myers.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office tells Fox 4 it responded to a 911 call around 6:30 tonight on Straight Street.
When officers arrived, they found the woman dead in the house.
The identities of the man and woman have not been released by sheriff's deputies.
Deputies are investigating the shooting and have taken the man into custody.
