LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- As the holiday season nears, the Salvation Army in Lee County is working to being Christmas to hundreds of local families who need a little help this year. But it turns out, the Salvation Army needs some help too.

The Salvation Army is currently registering families for help with gifts and food, the line of people registering hoping to leave with a little Christmas miracle. The families will receive some toys, basic needs like clothing or shoes and a Christmas dinner.

"We try to make sure that the whole Christmas experience is provided for them so they can have joy during Christmas" says Major Cheryl Gilliam, a Salvation Army volunteer.

But providing help for the community does come at a price, and they're in need of a warehouse to be able to do the distribution. As of right now, they are finding it difficult to find a building.

The Salvation Army needs a warehouse around 25,000 to 30,000 square feet, and they are hoping someone can donate their space.

They'd like a secure space in a centralized location, preferably on a bus route so it's easily accessible by all community members and it needs to have plenty of parking.
