FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Specialists at Golisano Children's Hospital are seeing a high number of local infants born with complex heart disease.

The hospital has hired two cardiologists in the last two years to meet the growing need, who are performing remarkable, life-saving procedures.

One of the other benefits of the cardio pediatric unit, parents now don't have to travel to Tampa or Miami for every check up and test.

That is helping to put a lot less stress on the patient and the parents.
