MARCO ISLAND, Fla. - Police say a Marco Island man was found fatally shot on a sidewalk in the 200 block of Lamplighter Drive.
According to the Marco Island Police Department, officers were called to the scene just before 7 am Monday morning, and arrived to find a 79-year-old Marco Island resident with a fatal gunshot wound.
Detectives tell Fox 4 that this was an isolated incident and that the community is not in danger. The investigation is active.
