The suspects led four agencies on a highly publicized pursuit that ended in Miami Gardens.
Collier County deputies advised they were in a pursuit of a vehicle they believed were the suspects.
The suspect’s vehicle was initially stopped by the Collier County deputies. The driver, 30-year-old Javoris Phillips exited the vehicle to speak with the deputy then ran into a canal and escaped.
Deputies are still looking for Phillips. The passenger then got into the driver’s seat and drove away.
Collier County deputies pursued the suspects to the county line where Miami-Dade deputies took over the pursuit.
After the vehicle was finally stopped, three suspects ran from the vehicle and two suspects were caught in a small neighborhood. One of the suspects was able to elude law enforcement and is still being sought.
The captured suspects were identified as Willie Williams and Marquell Shellman. A search warrant for the vehicle was executed and most of the items stolen from the residence in Bonita Springs were recovered.
