Lehigh pedestrian death from natural causes
LEHIGH ACRES - The Florida Highway Patrol now reports that a pedestrian death in Lehigh Acres Wednesday night was from natural causes.
Troopers say 81-year-old Robert Salmon died just before 8 p.m. after falling next to the road at Lake Drive and Parkside Street in Lehigh Acres.
Salmon was standing by a mailbox and collapsed for unknown reasons.
He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Initially there were concerns that a vehicle may have hit Salmon but the Medical Examiner determined he died from natural causes.
