Riverdale High student arrested for bringing gun to school
BUCKINGHAM, Fla. - A Riverdale High School student was arrested Monday for bringing a gun to school.
The 16-year-old's trouble started the week before when he got into a verbal fight after school with another student. He allegedly hit that student in the head.
The victim's father came to school on Monday after the suspect posted comments on Facebook about the incident. The suspect also said he planned to bring a gun to school that Monday.
The suspect was pulled out of class and his car was searched. Underneath the passenger seat a deputy found a .25 caliber Phoenix Raven handgun.
The 16-year-old boy was charged with possesion of a firearm on school property.
