Death Investigation on Marco Island
MARCO ISLAND, Fla. - A missing person's case takes a tragic turn after a body was found in a canal on Marco Island.
On March 18th Marco Island Police were notified that Alice Berg went missing on foot.
Officers began searching the areas the family indicated Berg frequented as well as the vicinity of the residence and adjacent neighborhood. The Marco Island Police Department along with help from the Collier County Sheriff's Office with both K-9 and aviation support. Members of the Sheriff’s Office onboard the CCSO Helicopter reported that they believed they had located Berg's body in a large canal on Bahama Avenue.
Marco Island Police are investigating the cause of death.
